Faraday Waves and Instability-Earth and Low G Experiments

on 21 April 2017

Principal Investigator: Dr. Ranga Narayanan
Affiliation: University of Florida Board of Trustees
Study of the instability of an interface between two liquids with different densities under vibrational acceleration (Faraday Instability). This instability is an important way to induce mixing such as in microfluidic processing of pharmaceuticals, as well as a way to dislodge persistent drops or bubbles on surfaces.
